SE24 share offer now funded

Alan Jones (Chair of SE24) has today announced the success of SE24’s 2017 Share offer.

“I am thrilled to say that 42 backers have pledged over £200,000 of investment. This means that our planned solar installations at St Christopher’s and Dulwich College can proceed. We plan to have the first plant generating before the end of the summer. This is a great step forward for SE24. It increases our generating capacity ten-fold, and makes our contribution to CO2 reduction in South London really significant. It will also provide energy savings for those institutions and lays the foundation for creating a Community Fund to tackle fuel poverty in the area.

“We originally aimed for £215,000 but by careful cost control and by agreement with our partners we can proceed with slightly less.”

The first installation, at St Christopher’s Hospice, is planned to start on 31st July, and be followed shortly afterwards by installations at Dulwich College’s Lord George Building and then at Dulwich College’s Swimming Pool Building.
